Been here many times over 5-6 years (previous comments all positive) but I notice a decline.
Structure and appearance, unchanged, mechanicals (elevators, HVAC) still in top order.
Lobby has shrunk to 10% it's size to make room for the now $15 per breakfast that used to be included, a $30 upcharge for a couple (just as soon eat somewhere else and have an attendant/waiter), parking, which used to be free in the garage (a block away), is now $15 self park, or risk a parking violation with new City enforced pay to park on the street. Employees that man breakfast pay station, surfing on phones and mostly inattentive, what appeared to be shift management in non-hotel identifying urban clothes, an employee or employee child sprawled out on 1/2 available lobby sofas, sleeping there complete with a pillow and blanket while the shift managers were totally ok with this.
Location is convenient and, at times of the year, price is fair to a borderline bargain but not at the level of the $2-$300/night during peak demand times, especially now with pay to park + breakfast.
By comparison, 1/2 this rate gets you a boutique hotel in walking distance to downtown Santa Fe, Toas, NM, San Antonio River Walk.
Come on HHS, re-up your game.
