An incredible resort. The cocktails and food are excellent, with the Lighthouse restaurant bordering on Michelin star quality. The variation of food and drink options across the 3 restaurants and 2 bars is vast. A special mention is required on the service, which is second to none. From our private butler Saeed to the numerous staff across housekeeping, the restaurants and bars, the quality and attention to detail is unlike anything I have experienced before. Throughout our 7 nights at Baros there were no flaws - I cannot recommend this resort enough. We have been fortunate to stay in many high-end hotels before and Baros tops them all.

Baros is a dream destination, located in between a lagoon and a beautiful reef. By the way, the house reef is incredible and you can spot many species, including sharks, turtles, rays and hundreds of species of fish. The staff is super friendly and the breakfast is one of the best I’ve ever had. I would definitely recommend it and I want to go back.

The Baros Hotel was one of the best resort experiences we have ever had! The island itself is beautiful and the resort blends in nicely with the environment. The staff were excellent and even helped us with staying on the island until our 1:45 AM flight. The food was excellent, especially the French cuisine at The Lighthouse. This is a peaceful retreat. The service is incredible, they are there but don't hassle you all the time asking if everything is alright. The transfers both to and fro from the airport are seamless we have been here five times and never had a problem. The food is really good with plenty of options. The reef has many fish,despite having rain most of the week we saw turtles,sharks,ray and over a 100 different fish. The reef is easily accessible from the shore in both low and high tide.

If you are looking for a 5 star luxury boutique set on a private island with impeccable but not overly solicitous service look no further. Breakfast…best I’ve ever had. Reef snorkeling…unbelievable. Where to start! I have travelled and been to many 5* hotels what I loved and found unique about the Baros hotel was the happiness and kindness of the staff. It was just such a positive happy place! I highly recommend booking the water villa and our favorite restaurant was the lighthouse. They have an amazing spa to not miss! Snorkeling there was like swimming in an aquarium so many things to see you absolutely breathtaking Overall book this hotel, I tried different ones in Maldives and this is by far my favorite one - they offer great perks for Expedia members

The food at Baros is top notch. Breakfast was fantastic every day that I was there. I stayed in an overwater villa with great views. Snorkeling at the house reef gave way to views of wonderful underwater life. When I come back to Maldives, I will book this place without hesitation. As for the expedia option of pre-paying for dinner, don't. Just go a la cart and not feel obligated to eat at the same restaurant. It's priced such that you are getting the maximum priced items on the menu each night and only includes one of the three restaurants. The food is great at that restaurant though, so no complaints there. I would have preferred more flexibility in how I used those funds.
