Our stay at the resort was wonderful. The facilities were excellent and all the staff very friendly, approachable and helpful. Sorted any issues that were raised. One staff member to mention in particular is Oliver who had our breakfast drinks ready at our usual table as soon as he saw us approching. Only one small criticism was the labelling of food. On one occasion what we thought was vegetarian was in fact not. But this was promptly corrected. Overall we had an excellent holiday.

Perfect! We have just stayed at Heritage Awali for 9 nights and we loved it! The hotel is beautiful and on the most stunning stretch of beach. It’s postcard perfect! The room was really clean and the overall service we received was 10/10. The staff make this hotel what it is! As vegetarians and one child having a dairy allergy, the hotel could not have done more to accommodate our needs. Rohit who works at the Infinity restaurant was just AMAZING, along with Jayshnee! They went out of their way to ensure sure we were looked after every single day and Chef Deo made us the yummiest food that suited our diet. Chef Harjit who heads up the Indian restaurant was also really accommodating and the food was fab! We can’t wait to go back and are already planning another visit next year! We thoroughly recommend this kid-friendly hotel to anyone thinking of visiting Mauritius! You will have a great holiday if you stay here! :)

This was my wife and I’s third hotel during our two week stay in Mauritius. The property itself was very nice, but there was some construction going on which put a lot of mud on the walkways, especially with the rainy weather. We both thought the grounds were too dim in the guest areas. Some of the staff did not help us well when we had questions, but others were very nice and knowledgeable. A couple of our events (African dinner, helicopter tour) got rained out, which was disappointing. We did try pretty much all of the restaurants (except for the BOMA African dinner experience). They were all good. We also tried some of the available experiences around the property (archery, seashell museum, 4x4 jeep safari). Except for the weather, everything was good. Because the weather was wet, rainy, and windy, we weren’t able to swim in the pools or the beach. We did walk around the Telfair a couple of times, which is a really nice resort. All in all, the hotel is great, but the weather just didn’t cooperate with our stay, at least not until the day that we were leaving. Bummer! If we come back, we wouldn’t mind staying there again.

Clean rooms, good range of food options which includes being able to dine at the golf club, neighbouring hotels and beach club (car shuttle from reception included). Kids pool heated and we needed it for an October trip.

Lieu incroyable à la hauteur de ses 5 étoiles. Magnifique endroit luxuriant, calme et moins urbanisé et fréquenté que le Nord de l'île. Complexe à taille humaine. Magnifique SPA. Deux belles piscines dont une adults only. L'autre est chauffée et très très bruyante... (éviter les chambres qui donnent dessus). Très belle plage: mer turquoise, attention cependant au courant quand il y a du vent, pas beaucoup de profondeur et aux débris de coraux. Le temps est capricieux (première quinzaine d'octobre) dans le Sud mais le soleil ne tarde jamais à revenir grâce au vent. Un personnel exceptionnel: souriant, gentil, disponible et qui parle français. Chambre impeccable, spacieuse, bien insonorisée. Il y a plusieurs restaurants: penser à réserver à l'avance. La nourriture est bonne, fraîche, variée, renouvelée y compris le buffet. Côté boisson: très grand choix et rhum à volonté... Il faut savoir que la contre partie du calme c'est l'isolement. Oublier le shopping, il n'y a rien à la ronde. Pour les excursions dans le Nord, il faut compter au moins 1h de voiture quand ça roule, 1/2h pour Chamarel et 1h pour l'aeroport. Quelques détails: excellent WIFI y compris sur la plage, pas de moustiques, aller vous promener à l'hôtel voisin Le TELFAIR (même groupe), dîner au château de Bel ombre ($$$), aller vous promener au coucher de soleil sur la plage publique voisine de Bel ombre encore sauvage... En conclusion: magnifique séjour dans un endroit paradisiaque avec un personnel exceptionnel.

Lovely place, would visit again

Lovely place. We had an issue with the air conditioning and after a few complaints we escalated to the manager and he moved us to a new room. He was also very attentive from that point on. The service in the restaurants is friendly but a little chaotic at times - lots of staff running about but not getting a huge amount done. The resort is great though, food and drink exceptional.
