The rooms at The Birchwood are phenomenal! Large, quiet and beautiful. Had a problem with the TV remote but I called the front desk and they resolved it right away. The bar and restaurant are SO nice. They had a new bartender who obviously had no bartending experience, so drinks were slow coming and not very tasty, but everything else was top notch.

Perfect location on Beach Drive for the Grand Prix. Spacious room, especially for an older hotel. Walking distance to all the great restaurants. Hotel staff was so pleasant and accommodating. We hope to be able to secure a room here again next year for the race. The only down side is that with the bar down stairs and rooftop bar upstairs, it can be a bit noisy at night, but nothing ear plugs can’t help with.

Nice stay

The hotel is a cute boutique hotel very conveniently located in the heart of downtown. That being said l, there was no view whatsoever from our room, we overlooked an indoor courtyard which was very loud at night. The room itself was spacious and clean but the beds could use some updating as they creaked loudly with the slightest movement. Free breakfast was minimal. The rooftop lounge had a great happy hour. Overall we were happy with the stay as the location can’t be beat.
