Air conditioning was not on when we got there but quickly cooled down the tent. It is amazing to sleep when there is a storm outside. You will never forget it.

My husband, dog and I stayed in the Rain Song Suite for one night. It was a nice spacious and comfy room for us. We were just travelling through on our way home from Myrtle Beach. We arrived after 8pm so it was dark and no one was at the desk. They left us our key and we had no problems finding our room. We had a little fire at the fire pit before bed with a couple of drinks which was nice to be able to do in March. In the morning, I had breakfast which was great! It did take a few minutes as they had to start cooking it once I showed up, which is understandable - it was hot, filling and delicious. Normally, they charge $10/adult but as it was low season, it was free. The only criticisms I had were that the shower needed some TLC (caulking needs to be replaced) and not sure of other restaurants in the area of you were to stay more than one night. The buildings are older and probably a lot of work to keep up. I definitely recommend staying here. It was reasonably priced. For note, this hotel is at the edge of the town's downtown - I had assumed incorrectly that it was in a more rural area.

Very happy with my choice to stay here. Staff was very nice, Francisco cleaned the snow off my car my first morning there. Duke was an excellent breakfast companion. Hotel is a great central location on WV for my week long vacation to explore the state. The town is close to major highways, but small enough I enjoyed the quiet after coming home from a day of driving/exploring. I will be back here next time I take a visit to WV!

We had a wonderful stay! We stayed in the Sycamore glamping dome. It was so lovely! The cutest little experience. It had a lovely view of the river- while sitting on the deck we watched a bald eagle fly over the river! A few things worth noting: • Temperature: It was quite chilly even with the heaters going! Though, we figured it would be with it being a dome and booking in the middle of February. We came prepared with warm clothes & extra blankets and didn’t have a problem. • Hospitality The only staff member we interacted with in person was Francesco- he was very kind & his breakfast was yummy! • Cleanliness & maintenance While the property was very nice and the dome was updated inside, it could definitely use some deep cleaning & maintenance. There was a toilet sitting in the box right outside our door. Lawn chairs thrown in the yard in front of the deck. Mold in the bathroom window. Stained towels. A used open bar of soap in the shower. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. The king size bed was very clean & comfortable! We would stay again!

At check in, nobody was there and we had to call a lady. First room she put me in had no heat and the second room she sent me to was locked, she had me go back into the main house and told me where to locate all of the keys. Once I located the key I was able to get into the room. The room was nice however the sheets are badly stained the floor didn’t seem very clean either. Also, the on site cafe is only open Tuesday- Saturday which seems silly as people travel on the weekend and would really appreciate breakfast on Sunday mornings.

The room is a basement suite and smelling. Didn’t mentioned in the online booking details. Microwave is broken. There was some water left in the coffee pot, and I noticed mold-like spots floating on top. It could be mistaken for oil, but it’s more likely mold from sitting water. Staff is nice.

Staff was super friendly and helpful, from the moment I got there, they actually came out onto the cobblestone street to help me find a place to park (they also run a nice Italian restaurant, so the street was full for my Friday night arrival). I stayed in the main building, which had an old-fashioned b&b style to it. All wood flooring, lots of windows, full sized bathroom, fancy king bed. I was there in winter, and that meant my room was a bit drafty upon entering it, but they had enough space heaters to make it feel comfortable rather quickly.

This was such a unique concept that I was really looking forward to. The Glamping dome was spacious and decently appointed. The bathroom is big, the beds were comfortable, and the view was very pretty. However, the heating source was not big enough to properly heat the Glamping dome. We attempted to get a good nights sleep with an inside temperature of 44 degrees. It was awful. I would’ve loved to have warmed up by taking a hot shower, but I didn’t even want to take my clothes off to do that! It was so incredibly cold that I had to turn the heat on in my car and sit until my hands we are warm enough and flexible enough to be operable. I would’ve liked to of shared this with the innkeeper in the morning, but when I went to return my key, there was no one at the desk. I would really like to request some compensation for this very uncomfortable inconvenience. The Glamping dome was advertised as being heated. I do not consider 44° as he heated. I dont usually leave reviews. I always read them, so I know their value. Ive struggled for the past month about leaving this review. I feel this needs to be said. We booked this place for our mother/daughter birthday. We always try to do at least one thing every trip that we've never done before. We booked the "glamping" room. We arrived by 6:30pm.The gentleman was just leaving, but he inconveniently showed us our unit. I will say the ser up was really cool.Temperatures were to plummit this night. We put our things in the unit and left to eat. When we returned, it was freezing in unit. The heater was above one of the beds, so I went to adjust the heat while my daughter took a shower. No hot or warm water for her. We also had dirty sheets and a dirty towel in between sheets. Disgusting! Long story shortened,the heater did not work. It only blew cold air and the remote needed for it, had dead batteries. I immediately called them and got their answering machine.(this is about 8 to 830 pm) I left a detailed message...we have no heat, it is now in the 20s outside and would they please come fix the unit or move us to another. We put on all our clothes along with our winter coats and every blanket. We called for 2 hours with no response. It appeared they blocked our calls.Who treats their paying guest like this? We could not sleep there. We still have never heard from them.No apology, no refund, no customer courtesy! Not a Word! I would NEVER stay there!! Look elsewhere to sleep!
