The building is charming. With a very nicely decorated interior. It is also well located. In a nice, quiet, cozy neighborhood, but at a walking distance from the popular, largfe area of Old Town Zurich, with all its landmarks, stores, restaurants, etc.
There is a bakery, and a mini-mart, in the immediate vicinity (3-minute walk). They were open very early, even though it was the end-of-year season, and pretty much everything was closed, everywhere, in this city…
The rooms are... let's say… minimalistic. But nice, clean, quiet. There was no thermostat control in the room itself, but it was well heated, the air was clean, the insulation was good, the temperature was quite warm and comfortable (end of December).
The price a bit too high, all things considered. But things are often like that, in Zurich.
The breakfast is exceptional. And it is offered in a huge, impressive room. The young lady who was there, Yanna, was an angel. It was very early in the morning, and she had prepared the buffet impeccably, seemingly all by herself (it was December 30, and there weren't too many people working, in this city, during that period of time…) And although there was a coffee machine, she offered to prepare and serve the first - the most crucial! - cup of coffee of the early morning. It was just perfect.
