Hotel clean and tidy,Staff very good,Reason low star rating was due to the first night meal it restaurant my wife’s fish was cooked to a piece of cardboard,We had intended to eat there more evening but after that we ate out,Also more info on local transport would be very helpful at reception.

The hotel was nice, some areas need repairing and some paint but overall it was a good stay. The evening meal menu had changed compared to their website which was inconvenient but the food was really nice especially the breakfast.

Views of harbour fabulous and room very spacious along with plenty of amenities such as coffee maker, biscuits etc. staff very friendly and helpful. On the downside there was an engagement party, which was very noisy until midnight, the general soundproofing was very good but could not handle the noise of music and door banging from the party. Breakfast very good with great variety and taste. Very useful lift.

Well positioned with some rooms having amazing views over the bay. Unfortunately slightly dated interior, with limited food menu, however breakfast was good.

The hotel is looking very tired. Dirty carpets balcony could have done with a lick of paint and a sweep as there was a used interdental brush on ours. Cooked breakfast was good but continental was disappointing.

We had a pet friendly room overlooking the harbour. It was a good size and ample for our two dogs. Some of the furniture is now a little tired, but the bed was comfortable. The reception staff were very helpful and gave our dogs lots of fuss and attention. The restaurant team in the evenings was exceptional. They couldn’t do enough for us. Accommodated us at short notice and even repositioned us so we could watch the sun set. The food was fantastic. The team at breakfast were far less welcoming and a little more care was needed when cooking. We had overcooked bacon and eggs.

Fawlty Towers still exists and it is right here at this Hotel. In addition you get to experience a modern day Basil Fawlty run breakfast. This is not a serious. Just sit back and watch the chaos unfold!

The view of the harbour is why you stay here and it doesn’t disappoint- just stunning. Locals and visitors flock to the outside terrace to enjoy a cocktail overlooking the harbour. We ate at the restaurant and both food and drinks were good but our dinner order was misplaced so we waited 75 minutes between starter and main. As an apology we weren’t charged. The room looked a bit tired and in need of a refurb but it was clean and the bed was comfy. We also had a view of the harbour (free upgrade). Staff was friendly but service is a bit chaotic - the staff lack set routines and need some training. The breakfast was tasty.

When we first pulled up the hotel was not much to look at but honestly, what a lovely surprise once inside. The restaurant, the terrace overlooking Poole harbour and the rooms were all very spacious (we had 3 rooms)

Fantastic place for sundowners on the patio, magnificent view over the harbour. Not so nice to carry drinks outside to table down steps, with waiters stood around doing nothing.
