Beautiful ocean front setting makes a stay at this plain jane hotel a winner. The dining room has big windows, the food is good, and the sunsets wonderful. I didn't get a room with a balcony, but will next time since it is really on the ocean. Nonetheless, I appreciated the functional windows so I could let in the sea breeze and hear the waves. Very nice location next to a large green park, the lighthouse, and piers. There is a brewery a block away and a great coffee shop about 4 blocks.

Okay so hear me out, if you can get over the smell this is a great stay. Just make sure to get a nicer room it sounds like, I had a balcony and jacuzzi room and it definetly felt like ballin on a budget with the view and immediate beach access. Would stay again.

When we checked in, the person at the front desk wasn't very welcoming. I've been to a lot of hotels, and there have been very few where I didn't get a good welcome. They just seemed annoyed. The price was very reasonable, but they do put an extra hold on your card. They're obviously used to people stealing things from the rooms, as they have prices listed for towels, lamps, pillows, etc. on the shower wall.
