A clean place easy walk to all of downtown. Our only issue was the children bouncing off the walls above us from 9 pm to 12:30 am when I pounded on the ceiling at which they stopped immediately. I could have contacted the front desk but did not, my fault. The staff had wonderful recommendations for meals.

We had a wonderful stay at the Candle Light Inn. The front desk clerk was incredibly warm and friendly, which made us feel welcome right from the moment we arrived. Our room was beautifully decorated, complete with large jetted tub and a cozy fireplace that made the space feel extra relaxing. The bedding was unbelievably soft—like sleeping on a cloud! It was so comfortable that I honestly didn’t want to get out of bed the next morning. Overall, it was a lovely experience and we would definitely stay here again.

Just a couple blocks away from Ocean Ave (main shopping/food street), it's a good little spot. We stayed in premium room with a jet tub. Room was clean and spacious. Jet tub was okay but jets are really loud (first world problems). Loved the touch of free cookies, which were delicious. And, they partner with various eateries and offer discounts, even at nice restaurants like The Pocket.

The Candle Light Inn is a charming respite in the middle of Carmel. The room is cozy and well appointed. It is not air conditioned which was a problem for this 60 year old lady but there was a fan for use in the closet and you are able to open the windows to allow a cross breeze. The only complaint I have is the mattress in our room has probably reached its end life. One side of the mattress was noticeably flatter and more uncomfortable than the other side. The Inn is in the perfect spot for walking to eating and shopping spots and was a convenient jumping off spot to our day trips. Close to the highway. One of the biggest pluses was that there was on-site parking. Parking on the street was extremely competitive.

The room was wonderful! This is the second time we have stayed at the Candle Light Inn. The room is very clean and spacious. The staff is very friendly and professional. Being in the middle of downtown Carmel is another plus. Love the jacuzzi tub and electric fireplace. Having fresh cookies in the lobby for guest and water bottles in the room is a great little touch as well.
