The only gripe I have is that four of the five people I encountered outside were smoking right by the door. A couple of workers, somebody’s sitting in their truck in the drive-through, and an old man sitting on the front ledge. I get it, people smoke… But I had to walk through it several times Coming and going. But onto the good parts…
First, there is a fence all around the parking area in the hotel which lends to the security. The beds were clean and the towels were clean and moderately soft, and I appreciated the shower curtain rack that swung out so I wasn’t attacked by it when I was showering. I couldn’t sleep so I got up at 5:45 and met the pleasant breakfast guy around six getting things set up. The breakfast was good and I had a couple of egg, potato, and bacon breakfast burritos that I made With the tortillas sitting out, And several cups of juice. My daughter said the pool was fine, and mentioned there was no hot tub if anybody was wondering. There is a disc golf park right next to the hotel, so I walked it for an hour after breakfast. Again, it was a good place that felt safe. You could hear the interstate traffic when you’re outside, but not from the room. It wasn’t the cheapest hotel, but reviews indicated it was one of the better ones and that was correct. The hotel is a little Dated, like the Elevator and carpets and such, but they were clean and that’s what I really wanted. If I’m ever around wheat ridge or Arvada need a hotel, I’ll look this one up again.
