The staff were good, the breakfast was generally decent, and the location was great, with the tram stops walkable with just a couple of minutes.
The downside for me was that the air conditioning in my room didn’t work during my stay, meaning it was 27.5C in my room for almost all of the time. As this was my only week of holiday for 2 years, I was hoping to sleep well and relax a bit, but that didn’t happen. I even went out walking in the night to cool down.
The other criticism is that the shower was at the height of my chest, not over my head, so I either had to kneel, bend down or hold the shower head above myself to wash. The bath I had to get into had a high side, which was fine for me, but anyone with mobility issues would have really struggled.
The windows were skylights, so I had no window to look out of. Apparently that was because it was a business room. I was having a mix of a business trip and a holiday, but the holiday aspect was something of a let down.
Whilst there were good aspects about the hotel, I’m not sure I would stay there again.
