Rooms are nice enough, and reception staff were friendly and helpful.
The biggest letdown was food and beverage. Most of the waitstaff are 18-20 year old males with no people skills or knowledge of anything to do with thier job, all working hard to do as little as possible.
On first night there I just wanted a simple bistro meal so I ordered a fish and chips and recieved a salad that had been cut two days earlier with prebattered frozen fish sticks.
We had breakfast included, was also a huge disappointment, was a stock standard Bidfood breakfast - precooked sauages, little muffins from the freezer, frozen bladder eggs with the terrible taste. The middle aged lady cooking was very rude when several people around me dared to ask for a poached or fried egg.
The only redemption for food and beverage was on our second morning breakfast, 7th January. While the food was the same options, the young chef with the bandana in the kitchen had done a wonderful job of presentation and keeping the food fresh. Was very friendly and had put poached and fried eggs on the buffet. They had done the absolute best with the food they had to work with. If this young chef would ever like a job at a resort to be proud of they can reach out to me.
Also at this breakfast was a middle aged waiter, I think his name was Murray, - very friendly and helpful.
