Torno is a very nice little village, but not a car friendly place at all. Also the apartment is not easy to find, as in a lot of streets and alleys there is no street names. Google doesn’t help much either.
But what really upset me was that nobody picked up the phone first 1h before arriving (as we agreed just a couple of hours earlier on the phone) and then, most annoying, when I arrived to tell me where to go with the car and where the apartment was. I lost 40 mins walking in the village (it’s mostly steps, no roads), trying to fins the apartment; also some of the locals I found could not help me. I had to leave all the time my wife and my small daughter in a wrongly parked car next to the main road… Needless to say how angry I was then
Luckily, and by coincidence, I found Luca, the person sent by the agency who was supposed to check us in, who was also looking for me (he was not the person who was supposed to pick up the phone) who kindly explained all he had to.
The apartment it’s nice but cold; typical of an old house, probably more enjoyable during the hot summer months.
IF (IF) you find a parking spot it would be somewhere up where the main road is, and you’ll have to walk up and down the stairs to the little harbour nearby. Keep this in mind when thinking of bringing big suitcases with you
