The good and the bad
On a whim we grabbed a room here for a night just for fun. The good: The fireplace worked. The king size bed was decently comfortable. The suite was spacious. The hot tub and pool worked and we enjoyed it. It met our needs, which were to spend some time together. The bad: Key cards weren't working, like in the entire hotel so the poor desk guy had to literally break into our room with a special rod (which is a little disconcerting how easy it was). If we were to leave we had to leave it propped open. Neither TV worked. Remotes were entirely non-functional and the screens were grimy. The refrigerator was actively defrosting and leaking all over the floor. The bathub/shower was weirdly concave making it uncomfortable to stand. Anyone unstable would have a hard time of it.

The hotel was very clean, the room was large ,the jacuzzi was nice and warm the pool was warm. The gentleman working the front desk was very friendly and helpful and was always moping or cleaning. I would recommend this hotel to stay in. Breakfast was good the usual eggs sausage gravy and biscuits.

When inquiring about the area, I learned that while everything was closed for the season, the downtown area remained bustling with many sights to see. The breakfast area was excellent, as was the staff. Overall, it was a satisfactory place to stay, especially since they welcome dogs!
