I really loved it, it's definitely a vibe.
This is a very particular property; it is perched up on a hill where the legendary, century-old Yamashiro restaurant sits. The hotel is not really a hotel, but an apartment-like group of suites.
The views of the hills and Hollywood are really great, but the property is a bit run down. If you're into the whole slightly-creepy-David-Lynch-Hollywood-Hills vibe as I am, then this hotel is for you. It's clean, but does have that distinctive, mysterious "LA smell" of old carpet and wood.
Overall the experience is great. The property shows its age, but is very clean, and it all adds to the atmosphere. It is VERY Hollywood Hills, so if you want to immerse in the vibe of the place, then by all means stay here.
