This is a very nice hotel, about 10 minutes by foot from Miyajimaguchi train station and the Miyajimaguchi ferry depot, and just a few minutes by car.
The hotel offers many complementary services including daily shuttle buses to and from the train station, daily boat ride to Miyajima at 10 AM and Van to the hotel at 3:30 PM, free bicycle rentals, free drinks, soft serve, and even beer. I wish they had a few more boats going across and back. 3:30 PM is a little early.
There is only one dining option. We didn't know a reservation was needed in advance min. two days prior for dinner, so it wasn't until the third night we got to try the 7700 yen per person dinner. (McD for the first night, udon second night, both closely.) Both breakfast and dinner include a chef prepared small dishes, and also give you access to their buffet items. Dinner included oyster, squid, eel. The buffet was the same both mornings we had it. The food was good but not worth the money and time taken away from sightseeing Miyajima.
There aren't many restaurants near Miyajimaguchi.
Service was beyond excellent. The facility was excellent. The onsen was a little small though. They had three washer/dryer combo machines in the public area, two more in the men's onsen area and three in the women's onsen area.
Also nearby is a convenience store. McD is almost throwing distance.
There are only a few taxis available in the region, but was only 25 min/7000 yen to Hiroshima. There are no city buses.
