There room very clean and spacious. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast very tasty and plenty of choice. Pool sauna and steam room brilliant no jacuzzi needs fixing unsure when. Which shouldn't spoil what is an amazing hotel

Large clean rooms and comfortable clean bed. Bathrooms need complete renovation. Soft seating area in restaurant has lots of stains and could do with being replaced. Breakfast buffet okay. Would have preferred better Bedroom door security such as extra locks and a door chain. There was no space under the door for a door jammer. Very helpful and friendly staff. Pleasant stay but could do with more refurbishment.

The rooms we're large and showing their age, paint peeling off the ceiling above the bath, and The quilt cover had a tear in it. There are no usb charges on the socket in the rooms, but the reception has power banks for a charge. The breakfast was very good and buffet style. I found The staff were very helpful and friendly.

The room was lovely and spacious, bed was comfy. The bathroom was pristine. The lift was broken, no jacuzzi and the breakfast was mediocre.

The positives are that the staff were friendly and helpful, my room was large and the hotel has good amenities. The lobby area is nicely decorated. The negatives are the rest of the hotel could do with a bit of care - the carpet in my room had a couple of stains as did the bed base. They also leave the windows open in the corridors so a few moths had flown in. The breakfast food was ok, but the drinks were terrible.

We booked this hotel as the website said excellent but it wasn’t. It felt like they were very short staffed and it wasn’t cleaned daily, as we saw some mud at the top of the stairs for 3 days. Twice I abandoned the bar as no one came to serve me after 15 minutes. Pool is ok. Never used the restaurant. No air conditioning in the rooms. The area is ok and is good for visiting Oxford or other places. I would not go back as it stands and would not recommend it to anyone else

The room I had was clean & comfortable the bar & restaurant staff were friendly. The hotel overall is a bit worn out & could do with refitting/decorating. No fridge in the room which I really noticed in the warm weather. My son had a second room with no fridge or aircon.

Staff very helpul but stretched, seemed to be too few staff for a relatively large hotel. Breakfast good, eat out in Thatcham both evenings. Room very good. Just for note it was the start of the UK heatwave and only deluxe rooms have a/c.
