Super hyggeligt og autentisk hotel, men af en ældre dato. Meget lækker aftensmad, rensdyr, hjortefilet og fjeldørred kan anbefales. Super hjælpsomt personale og beliggenheden er perfekt i forhold til gangbroen over Vøringsfossen.

It’s an older hotel but had a clean room and was very quiet. Nice staff and very Nordic/ good breakfast. Had a charm but isn’t major chain updated if that’s what you are into. The lead is that it is at a tourist destination. Easy to stroll out and enjoy the views and sip on some coffee.

Hotel nicht mehr das neueste, hat aber Charme, Top Lage zum Voringfossen, an dem man abends allein sein kann. Genug Parkplätze, Frühstück gute Auswahl und Qualität, Kaffee war jedoch nichts. Sauber. Badewanne im Bad, die zur Wand hin nicht abgedichtet ist, mit ein wenig Vorsicht geht es ohne grosse Pfützen auf dem Boden.

This is a very traditional hotel. The only negative is the lack of a lift but staff were more than happy to carry bags to rooms. The hotel has a lovely history and is still run by the family who built it over 100 years ago. Much of the original decor is preserved and respected amongst updated amenities. Dinner at the restaurant (there are not many, if any, convenient, local alternatives) was fancy and exceptional. It's location cannot be beaten and a walk around the waterfall is a must. For those with mobility issues, the waterfall has convenient viewing platforms accessible from the hotel car-park.
