When I arrived at the hotel, I was told that where NOT any rooms available, despite my having a reservation which I booked through EXPEDIA.
Fortunately, I had chosen the option to pay at the hotel rather than through EXPEDIA, as I would have had a whole other problem. Neither the hotel nor myself have been able to get through, via phone, to EXPEDIA to report the problem.
I have been told that EXPEDIA and other "discount" websites, regularly overbook reservations as a way of "adjusting for no-shows".
