Frustrating and short-lived stay
When I arrived to check-in, although I was expected, it was clear that the messages I had sent via Hotels.com regarding my time of arrival and my dinner booking hadn’t been received. Evidently there is a system problem between Hotels.com and OYO. Not a good start.
Only on arrival did I discover that breakfast was a Continental and not cooked. This wasn’t clear in the information I’d seen and had reasonably expected a full cooked breakfast. Had I understood this I would not have chosen this place. Cooked breakfasts are an important part of the holiday for me
When I got to my room, I found the windows open and a Pemrokeshire gale rattling round the room. It took my 10 minutes to close the sash windows and the room remained cold all evening.
After dinner I was unable to get my TV to work, but to get help had the ridiculous situation of having to leave the hotel and knock on the front door in the rain to get attention. I found someone but they were unable to help me with the TV.
As I sat in my bedroom that night, cold, wet, with no TV and the prospect of a cold breakfast in the morning, I decided that this wasn’t the place for me.
I checked out in the morning.
