My husband and I only stayed for one night, but very much enjoyed our stay. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. I took advantage of the spa area, which was lovely, and was pleasantly surprised to find that it was very quiet, with only a couple of other people using the saunas and the hydro pool. I found the robes and slippers provided in the room useful as this meant I was able to change into my swimwear before using the spa.
We chose not to eat in the restaurant after reading mixed reviews about it, but we did have breakfast. The breakfast was, on the whole good but not the best I've had when staying in a hotel. There was enough choice, both hot and cold options, My main complaint would be that the "hot" options were not hot but just about warm. It was lovely to watch people practicing their golf out on the beautiful golf course while we ate breakfast.
Overall, I would recommend The Tytherington for a lovely, relaxing stay.
