My stay was less than 24-hours and as a single female, I was very uncomfortable staying at the Outpost. I didn't feel particularly safe using a shared bathroom in the middle of the night as there was no visible staff on the premises while I was there. When I arrived, I had to call a number posted on the front door to get let in because the proprietor was away on vacation. From the pile of mail at the reception desk, I would guess the person was away for quite awhile, and it appeared that a young man was staying on the couch in the rear common area. In the middle of the night, I was awakened by someone banging on the front door of the Outpost and the young man shouting the hotel is closed. I only saw one other patron while I was there, an older man who looked like he'd previously been homeless. While the premises appeared clean and tidy, there was a used towel and robe left hanging on the door of my room. That made me question whether my bed had actually been changed since the previous occupant. Moreover, I paid $277 for this experience.
