I'll start with the positives. Ample parking. Pet-friendly. Comfy bed. Simple, hot breakfast with MYO waffles, eggs, potatoes, bacon, oatmeal, breads, yogurt, apples, bananas, juices.
For the not-so-positives: We moved rooms due to horrendously strong weed smell in our first room and the hallway. The young woman at the desk offered a new room when I called down to let her know, which we gladly took even though we'd already taken time to settle in, shower, etc. She offered nothing else for the trouble, only said thanks for letting her know and explained it was likely coming from a long-term guest. Truly don't understand how a long-term guest is not only allowed to smoke inside but isn't held accountable for intense weed smell in what's advertised as a smoke-free hotel. Look, I get it. Weed isn't *my* thing but I know others enjoy it. Thing is, my beer and wine don't disturb the environment around me. To say this long-term guest's behavior is inconsiderate is the understatement of the year. On top of that, while we appreciated the dog-friendly accommodations, I guess I missed the fine print that we'd be charged an additional $50 pet fee on top of what we'd prepaid.
All together, our stay was *not* a $200+/night experience.
I replied to the hotel's text system and they are refunding a bit ofo ey for the trouble. So props to Janel for her excellent customer service
