Worst stay ever. And our last at Bay Mountain. At checkin, I advised the lady I had already paid for the stay during booking and expected a hold for incidentals only. She said that hold would be $1. Surprised, but ok. Then she said I had not paid and she would be charging me. I said no, that wasn’t right. She claimed to have figured it out. Well, she didn’t. She charged me. When I went back, she got upset and told me I was wrong - even with me trying to show her my credit card statement online. Friday afternoon - beginning of long weekend - she says the computer did it and it would fall off at midnight. I told her that’s not how it works. Monday morning at checkout, I explained to the gentleman and he claimed the same thing. I told him I had heard that song and dance Friday and 3 midnights had come and gone and it was still there. 3rd lady called on my way home - same thing. Stupid because the charge is still there. Finally Tuesday morning AFTER vacation they released my money. Vacation money held hostage for the duration of the vacation. 😢 Location is great which is why we have stayed there for years. NO MORE! This time there was an odd smell in the building and the internet quality was terrible. Kicked me off often and made me log back in. The men who manage the place hang out in the lobby and parking lot. Kinda gave me the creeps this time. The beds are comfortable, but the laundry detergent they use caused a rash this time. Just bad all around.
