I had high expectations for this hotel based on other reviews, but it was honestly a bit of a letdown.
Pros: The bed was extremely comfortable, although I could see it being too firm for other guests, but it was perfect for my back. The jacuzzi was very fun and spacious and cleaner than I expected! Instructions on how to use it would have been helpful, as it was a bit confusing and the handles were quite touchy. The bathrobes were a nice touch. The room was spacious with some nice furnishings, and the outdoor area was lovely and green. I also got a massage during our stay and the onsite spa was good.
The cons: Our customer service experience was less than ideal, particularly considering this hotel is meant to double as an event venue. We were staying there to scope it out for a reception and short honeymoon, but definitely won’t be doing that based on our interactions with front desk staff and the complete lack of response from the events staff. Getting into the rooms with your luggage is a trick because of some narrow, unnavigable spaces. We had quite a few spiders in our room, one of which bit me in bed. The bathroom is tiny and only allows one person in at a time. There is also a service hallway leading into the room - make sure you put the Do Not Disturb on that door (not the main entry) if you are in your room during the day. Finally, the location feels very removed from anything, which could be a positive for some guests. I recommend an actual hotel for a Vernal trip.
