While the mattress was exceptionally comfortable, the best mattress I've slept on in any inexpensive motel, the rooms were not very clean. If you're looking for a great mattress to rest on for the night, and don't care about cleanliness as much, for the price, you can't beat this place.

The Mustang Inn was beautifully located with parking on both sides of the two story hotel, situated back far enough to be private, yet at a main intersection on the main road into all the interesting attractions of Paducah.

Last visit was wonderful with a clean, quiet room and I reviewed it as such. This visit was completely different. Bathroom was gross, toilet dirty, light/fan over shower didn’t work, bed spread dirty, end table sticky, chair needed to be replaced. Good things on this visit I can mention was the bed was comfortable and the hotel was quiet. We were only staying one night so I didn’t complain to management as I should have but I would not likely stay again unless I was able to inspect the room before I pay.

2 pros: location and quiet. Cons: furniture in terrible condition, not only banged up but hinge on door broken so couldn't even shut the dresser. Fridge so noisy made sleeping difficult, mattresses so soft I had to take pain killer for my back and legs, thick dust on much of the furniture, pillows were old, sheets were stained, carpet was dirty, no clock, no telephone in the room. towels were thread bare. The whole place was run down and management make itself scarce. Will not stay there again. I felt dirty the whole three days we were there. 2

Immediately upon opening my room door I noticed a urine smell throughout the room along with stains in the carpet. Went into the bathroom, noticed mold on the ceiling where the shower is. Noticed mold all over the shower curtain went into the living area noticed mold on the walls cracks in the walls, outdated furniture, but most of all the smell of urine was overwhelming. Went to use the bathroom, and the toilet seat was broken went to wash my hands and the plunger that goes into the sink was stuck in the sink so I had to wash my hands in the bathtub along with brushing my teeth. Told the associate at the front desk about the situation after handing him a filthy washcloth that was placed for me to use. He came into the room and started spraying deodorizer onto the wall onto the carpet onto the AC unit to mass the smell of urine. At that point I should’ve left but after driving 13+ hours and not getting much sleep from the night before I was totally exhausted and just wanted to close my eyes. I ended up not taking a shower, changing into my clean clothes and sleeping on top of the sheets fearful that there might be something else. I don’t want to see if I were to remove them to sleep under them. This hotel is disgusting. I would never recommend anyone stay here ever a better option would be sleeping at a rest stop in your vehicle.

The only complaint I have regarding the inside of the hotel is the very strong smell of cigarettes. Everyone smokes right outside of the door and when the door opens it comes on in and carries into the halls. I’ve stayed here many times and this was the worse it has been. The outside could use some grass instead of weeds, but I guess that would raise the price.

It was so bad we actually didn't even end up staying. The first floor reeked of smoke and who knows what else. The second floor smelled like pure cat feces, one of the rooms the toilet was running when we got there and when brought it up to the staff they said we don't have a maintenance person right now, is it a problem? There was one car in the parking lot and it appeared the people were living primarily in their car. Literally left and didn't even try to get a refund. Mold on ceiling above shower and gnats in toilet

Sheets were not clean, the air did not work and the coffee bar was only coffee and plain creamer. Staff was helpful in getting sheets changed. I definitely would not stay here again or recommend to anyone.

The only thing that was nice was the guy who checked us in. We reserved 2 rooms for the night. 1 room smelled so bad we could smell it as soon as we opened the door. We were given a new room but about 20 minutes later they tried to give the room to someone else who refused to stay in it also. Bedding, pillows & towels were badly stained. 1 bathroom had mold on ceiling, the other looked like it hadn't been cleaned with hairs & toothpaste in sink. We didn't want to stay but it was late when we checked in after a long day on the road & rooms were not refundable. Didn't sleep well, felt so gross sleeping there. Got up early & back on road. Sometimes paying less for rooms is not worth it!

Incredibly dirty. I don’t know if I’ve ever stayed at hotel dairy as this. Line trash, carpets had not been vacuumed, bedding was dirty. My family almost left because we felt unsafe.

Room smelled, little flys similar to fruit flys were in room. Towels need to be replaced. Not sure if it was vacuumed. We found a few things laying on floor. Lighting outside not real good. Sign was not lit. Should be a 6, definitely not an 8.

You need to take this hotel off you listing site! The room was absolutely filthy!! We booked for a non-smoking room and it smelled of smoke and dirt. The soap dish in the bathroom had mold; the toilet had toilet paper in it; a washcloth when opened had black stains; sheets had stains; the floor and wall outlet behind and along the nightstand was caked with dust and filth. We told the check-in people we could stay. They printed an invoice with a credit for the amount charged to our credit card. Now 7 days later we have no refund on our cc and they insisted that we call our bank because they cannot credit a refund?? Makes no sense! Not sure how in the world they are still in business and why they have good reviews. We have always trusted Hotels.com and have had wonderful experiences with the hotels we choose to stay at. Please consider removing them from your site. Thank you
