Flandrischer Hof

This is our favourite hotel in Cologne. It's really convenient for two of the main Christmas Markets and easy walking distance of the others. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable and modern and one of the few central hotels with car parking. Great breakfast too.

The room had windows to the party street. I don't understand why they put you in such a room on the second floor on a Friday night without warning that police sirens will wake you every 10 mins.

The room was clean, nice, and basic. The people at the reception was very nice and I thought it was a great value. However, the room was super cold because there were no heater control in the room. Also, there were people screaming outside until 5am in the morning which was not pleasent. But overall it was good. I really recommend the hotel to have a personal heater control device installed.

I've stayed 6 times at this hotel over the years and have finally cracked the code for a great visit. This friendly business hotel is a patchwork of different connected buildings with some rooms far from the reception and only accessable up a half flight of stairs to the elevator. Rooms in the main building are in the more expensive catagories but the 15% or so difference in price makes a world of difference in comfort. Request a business double for single use if travelling alone in the main building accessable directly by elevator with a bathtub and you can wind up with a generously sized room and bathroom of 4 star quality at a 3 star price. Location is fantastic - just steps away from Rudolfplarptz and all it's Public Transit options. Breakfast Buffet is good and plentiful but prepay it at the time of booking and you'll save yourself €4 per breakfast eaten over the "walk in" price. Hotel is clean with some sections more modern than others.

Generally a nice stay; the city tax basically doubled the cost of my room.

My double room had recently been renovated it was very nice indeed. I stayed at this hotel several times and I always take a room to the inner courtyard since it is quiet at night. There was no coffee maker in the room and that it would cost 5 euros per day extra which I declined. However I was offered a kettle for free. Coffee makers are really a necessity and charging 5 Euros per day was a bit steep. One other issue is that there’s some 27 steps to climb before you reach an elevator on the left side ioff the hotel. The hotel should offer assistance if requested by the guests. I watched several people check in and have issues getting up those stairs with the baggage.The buffet breakfast on the other hand is superb and reasonably priced.

It was very convenient for my work and I have stayed before. I will use the same hotel on my next visit too.

Good. Cheap. Basic. In fun location. Easy to find good food.

The hotel is amazing, it’s within walking distance to shops, bars and restaurant. The staff were amazing especially kristina she was very accommodating. I will defo be staying at the HOF again.
