We’ve stayed at LaQuinta hotels before, so thought this a good choice for our last night on the road. Things started out fine - check-in was smooth, room was clean, bed was comfy, TV worked. Things began to fall apart when hubby wanted to take a shower before bed. We’d noticed water was dribbling from the tap - well, the faucet was completely broken. You couldn’t turn the water on for the tub/shower - AT ALL. The handle just spun around. Couldn’t push/pull on or off. Nothing. The thing dribbled all night - had to close the bathroom door to not hear it. How do you have no shower/bath in a hotel?! Ohh, and only one cup for in-room coffee in the morning! Ok, so that - then, breakfast is served 6-9am. While hubby was downstairs for breakfast, maid comes knocking (so soft I wouldn’t have heard had I not been standing near the door) at 8:36am wanting to know had we checked out. Breakfast isn’t even done serving! And breakfast was awful: rubbery eggs, biscuits stuck to the pan, kids’ junk cereal only, and a line a mile long for waffles. We won’t stay here again. Oh, and no refunds or compensation for our inconvenience because we booked through Hotels.com!
