My only regret in this review is that I can't leave a 0 star rating. We stayed for two nights over new years 2020. Been a rough year for everyone, especially hotel industry. You'd imagine that they would cherish the business they get...apparently not. First room we were given had a faulty shower head that sprayed the bathroom with water. AC/heater wouldn't turn off and was incredibly loud. No enforcement of wearing face masks in public areas. We were given another room in fairness and shower worked fine there. However, it was right beside laundry and elevator shaft and that thing kept us up all night with noise. To be fair, we were given a discount for the inconvenience and I would have left it at that. However, upon checking out, we were 22 minutes beyond the checkout time having already given in our keys and packing the last few items when THE MANAGER came up to our room, rudely and ignorantly told it was time to get out of the room; talked to us like bold kids. Appalling customer service, appalling manners and I for one will not be staying at a La Quinta Inn again. Blown away by the level of ignorance and rudeness we experienced. Don't stay here.
Quite part of Kansas City on a Saturday night. Enjoyed the room very much. Looking forward to coming back and soon.
Friendly, spacious room, easy check in, quiet
The room was very clean as was the hotel, staff was very helpful and friendly. Gave us information we needed to find a place to eat and the Covid restrictions were for restaurants. We really liked the location very close to many restaurants and attractions. We only had a couple of issues with the room, first our room faced the street and there was a street light by our room. When we tried to close the curtains there was a small gap and the light came through right on my wife’s pillow. We did figure out a way to fix it. I don’t know if we were in a handicapped room but the shower looked like you could roll a wheel chair into it. That was ok with us but as my wife was taking a shower the water began to run out of the bathroom. Luckily I saw it in time so it could be cleaned up with a towel. I just think it was a bad design, especially if you don’t need a wheelchair. There was a coffee maker so we could make coffee in the morning but only 1 cup. Even with these small issues we would stay here again because of the friendly staff and the location.
Hotel was clean and comfortable. Nothing over the top, but just fine for a quick stay. We both slept well and were able to take string cheese and water bottles from the (rona-fied) breakfast with us on our morning adventures. We would stay here again.
They are not cleaning rooms, and was told I couldn’t have extra towels to shower they were very limited. And they have barely anything for the grab and go breakfast.
Had the do not disturb sign on my door only to find that my blow dryer and a few other items were stole while we were out. I let the desk know and no one from the hotel as even got in contact with us. I was told the manager would call. Also every night we returned to the hotel our key had been deactivated. Just not a great stay.
Brand new very clean. Staff super friendly and glad to be there.
