This is an unusual property and visitors should be aware of its quirks. Let me start by saying we had an enormous, beautiful room, with a 16 (?)-foot high ceiling painted like a Renaissance palazzo, a jacuzzi larger than a king-sized bed, a terrific shower, comfortable bed, even in a tiny balcony with table and chair. The location suffered temporarily from across-the-street construction and trash strewn about, but it's actually an excellent location, just a couple of blocks from the sublime Bellini Opera House and a half-block from terrific restaurants. What's odd is that it's not exactly a hotel and only a B&B in the strictest sense. It's an apartment with several rented rooms. There's supposed to be a staffed front desk, but we never saw anyone there except by appointment. They met us early to store our bags, and were extremely helpful at check-in. Breakfast is served in your room - a generous selection of pastry, yogurt, fruit and Nespresso pods for the in-room unit. The apartment is on the 4th floor and you can walk - racing against the timed light in the stairwell - or take a diminutive elevator large enough for 2 bags and a human. So overall, I'd say it's not for everyone, but the rooms are truly stunning, the jacuzzi (which we didn't even use) is very special and the location is great.
