During check in the desk lady was frazzled from a rude guest but she was polite and apologetic.
I received our room keys, went to the room, used the key to open the door to find people in the room and it looked like they’d been living there.
Next room key received, sent us to a room that had the TV turned on, bed turned down, bathroom light on and the angry woman’s DL on the sink counter.
Room 3…. This one was without any people in it but still not the 2 bed room we reserved. I called the desk and said I was done lugging our bags from room to room and they could fix the room issue the next morning.
Just as a I feel asleep someone was trying to open the door and then banging on the door. I got dressed, opened the door to find an older couple and the new desk person. I explained this was room 3 of the night for us and I wasn’t moving. My daughter was in the shower and we were there for her to go to Mayo Clinic the next few days and he could give us our new room before we left but I was done.
The next morning we ate breakfast, switched rooms again, left for Mayo.
The rooms were clean, the staff was nice, the hotel was under construction and we didn’t know prior to arrival.
Based on the safety alone of the first interaction I would not recommend staying here. The lady behind the desk was blonde and named Karen, she was in over her head when there was 5 people checking in as well as an angry guest.
