Great stay

We had transferred from another hotel in area. We were there for a wedding. The only room left was a handicap room and it seemed work was either still being done or just had been done. The staff was nice and accommodating and the other rooms may have been much cleaner and better. I had a glimpse of one when rooms were being cleaned and they looked much different. So, in fairness, this is probably a much better property than I am giving it credit for. Most of our party stayed at Horseshoe but we had booked too late. Very convenient ride to the casinos and downtown Shreveport.

The front desk was great, the cleaning staff was nice, the food was agreeable. The bathroom toliet paper holder was rusted and gross., the microwave was on its last leg, the closet door wouldnt stay shut, constantly running into it.

The bed was comfortable as expected. The breakfast was very good and filling. There is a steakhouse next door so you have easy access for dinner. There was an initial glitch when we checked in because someone was already in the room we were given. However it was immediately fixed. Parking was a bit of a challenge. My main complaint was that the HVAC unit in my room sounded like it was on its last leg. Every time it kicked on I almost jumped out of bed. There was also some sort of jet engine that kept spinning up from time to time in the storage room next door. I have no idea what that noise was but it happened often.
