When we checked in, we were given a first floor room. We walked down to it, but neither key card worked. We walked back to the front desk and got new key cards. When we opened the door to the room, it smelled like someone chain smoked cigarettes in there. We were moved to the 3rd floor. When we got to the room, the key cards for the new room did not work. We went back down, got new key cards. Finally we’re able to get into our room.
The elevator broke the next morning (a guest was stuck inside and the fire department had to come).
We had to walk up 3 flights of stairs with all of our softball equipment from our games that day. I asked if someone could help us and the front desk attendant said ‘it’s only me and another girl’. We made it up the 3 flights of stairs (just my daughter and I with all our equipment), to discover that our room keys AGAIN weren’t working.
Our room was next to the stairwell. Normally that wouldn’t be an issue, but my head was against the wall where the stairs were, and I heard every suitcase being slammed against each stair. Imagine ever guest at the hotel being forced to use the stairwell, and having to carrying all their luggage up and down it. It was an awful night sleep.
