I had duplicate rooms at the Tru. My asst purchased one and I had as well last minute. Realized it shortly after booking, same day and called hotels.com and they say, you need to speak to the hotel, too close to the reservation(just made, by the way).
Hilton Tru cancels the other room reserved under hotels.com, confirms I have 1 room. I then get charged 545.00 for a hotels.com room. They say it is as a result of Tru not canceling the room… Tru says, no sir, it was cancelled.
Time to use another service…btw, Tru onsite was $100 less per night than hotels.com.
