We had a four night stay in Norrköping for a music festival and the Hotel President was nicely located between the station and the festival venue. On arrival the staff were friendly and welcoming and all the members of staff we encountered during our stay were friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely with plenty of space, a separate sitting area with a sofa, wardrobe, large flat screen tv, extra towels and pillows in the wardrobe, a desk and chair and a good size, comfortable bed. The windows were large, making the room light and airy. Breakfast featured a good selection of hot and cold food and drink and, although my partner and I have very different views on what constitutes a good breakfast, we both ate extremely well.

Ingen fungerande ventilation i rummet så det var otroligt varmt, kvavt och stillastående luft och därmed inte en god natts sömn. Vi reste med hund och i rummet vi fick luktade det tyvärr intorkat hundkiss, och det fanns ingen vattenskål eller liknande som ofta erbjuds på hotell där hundar är välkomna. Personalen var trevlig och frukosten ganska bra, men rummet tyvärr inte bra vilket drog ned upplevelsen.

Stämmer inte med det höga betyget Vi valde Hotel President utifrån det höga betyget på Hotels.com, men vår upplevelse motsvarade tyvärr inte alls förväntningarna. Det mest allvarliga var att vi hittade ett par använda kalsonger hängande i badrummet när vi kom till rummet. Det kändes väldigt ofräscht och fick oss att ifrågasätta hur noggrant rummet hade städats. Sängarna var slitna och obekväma. Madrasserna var knöliga och vi båda låg som i en grop, vilket resulterade i en dålig natts sömn. Rummet var dessutom mycket varmt och det fanns ingen luftkonditionering eller fläkt på rummet. Först vid utcheckningen fick vi veta att fläktar fanns att låna. Även underhållet var bristfälligt. Lampan i badrummet flimrade och en annan lampa var glapp. Jag framförde allt detta till receptionen vid utcheckningen. Mina synpunkter noterades, men någon ursäkt eller större vilja att hantera situationen upplevde vi inte. Tyvärr är detta inte ett hotell vi kan rekommendera.
