4/6/2025 stay
Please hold dog owners accountable for their pets, or a law suit is inevitable. While staying at the property, someone else’s dog kept jumping on me as I passed through the hallway. It was on the 1st floor and the only way to the lobby. This was a big tall dog, and while I have my own dogs at home, I do not like other people’s animals jumping all over me. The sad part is I warned the owner before passing them that I’m worried that the dog will jump on me or attack me as he was already out of control and barely contained despite being on a leash. The owner assured me that nothing would happen. That was a lie. While the dog was jumping all on me (up to my shoulder as I am 5’2), the owner screamed oh! oh! oh! I’m so sorry. I did report this to the lady at the front desk, and she apologized. However, she did state that the cameras were not working due to the storm the night before. I also pointed out the gentleman to her as she requested. I made her aware that this is a law suit waiting to happen. I don’t mind dogs being allowed to stay at the hotel. However, owners should be required to be responsible for their pets. It was a scary experience.
The hotel itself is a solid 3 and provided a comfortable night’s rest. I only stayed one night and will probably not return.
