This is an exceptionally unique, gorgeous property with a wonderful staff and superior grounds. It feels like a movie set and was perhaps our best accommodations ever!
Diane, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Very nice main lodge in a beautiful setting. The rooms in the bunkhouse building were simple but adequate and the common area room was great. The scenery is quite spectacular and the staff at the lodge were pleasant and helpful.
Geoff, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

There is a beautiful lodge but that is not where you stay. Sleep room is in a separate somewhat cheaply built bank of rooms. The staff announced there were no restaurant services that evening but we could go up the road a couple of miles to Sheep Mountain. My advice, just go to Sheep Mountain. It has nice cabins and a very nice restaurant.
Dennis, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Love the wilderness and the areas around it for hikes and walks.
saurabh, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Quiet area but if you stay in the lodge the rooms are extremely noisy and you can hear everyone walking or talking within your area. It’s pretty much like staying in a small bedroom with a bathroom.

10/10 Exceptional

The budget room was acceptable; the view from the porch of the lodge more than made up for it. Not enough people staying to open the kitchen. Staff were all very helpful and welcoming.

We stayed in the main lodge. We loved it. Our roo. Was clean, and spacious. I would like a small fridge and ice as I have specifuc dietary requirements.
Debra, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Beautiful view of Mountains, lots of hikng trails. Most of staff friendly and helpful. Just one person, the first person we met at checkout was not helpful and did not inform us of all that was available to us as guests. The outdoor hot tub was wonderful!
Iris, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Great service. They kept in contact with me before I checked in to ensure proper check in. Even at 12:00 AM ( when we checked in), they helped us with very nice attitude. They even arranged an extra bed for us! A five star stay!
Rushil, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Beautiful property and setting. Meal and drinks good. We stayed in Moose, which is beautiful and well appointed. It was very noisy. We could hear the people downstairs at night. When a door closed it echoed loudly throughout the building. Need to do something about the acoustics. Beautiful facility and view.
John, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

The rooms have about a 1’x1’ window and are like dingy hunting cabins, the pictures of the lodge may not be where you are staying. I booked same day and refused the room 4 hours later and was not refunded $533.
Blake, 3-night trip

6/10 Good

Well, beautiful property but... the cabin was bare bones. Two beds, a bathroom and not much else. The toilet would not fill. They provided gallon jugs to fill the tank. The bathroom sink was a trickle. Biggest complaint? There was no place to gather and just sit. We hung out in the dining room but a fireplace and lounge area would have been super. Beautiful scenery but other than dining and a place to sleep not much else. For a lodge we expected a fireplace and some couches/lounge chairs.
James, 1-night trip

Beautiful cozy place

This place is a solid 10/10. The views are stunning and it feels exactly like the Alaska experience every tourist hopes for. Hammocks, mountain backdrops, a lawn full of flowers, and a restaurant to dine in—it has it all. Plus, it’s close to Matanuska Glacier. Definitely a spot I’d add to the must-visit list.

Einfach schön!

Sehr gepflegte Anlage, sehr freundliches Personal, schöne Aussicht, sauberes Zimmer, Gratis-Kaffee :)

8/10 Very good

It is a beautiful location. We stayed in a small cabin which was cute and perfect for 1 night. Our only complaint would be the smell. They must use a holding tank underneath the cabin and it must have been full. It was quite odorous by the time we got up in the morning. Otherwise, it was clean and the main lodge is beautiful!
Michelle, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Staff very helpful. As a small lodge and the only accommodation along a very remote route, they offered very personalized service. Property is clearly aging but well maintained and clean. The view drinking morning coffee was unmatched!
Matthew, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

Outside of the hotel was very pretty with fireweed flowers but the rooms were located under the restaurant so it was very loud. The French onion miso soup was very salty. It should've been just the regular French onion soup itself. Miso is very salty alone.
Shelley, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

The room and bed were great. The staff was rude and offensive at checkout. Asked where we were from, then made rude and offensive comments about our state called our state and went further to ask what part of the state and then made rude comments about women in our state. we will not be back or recommend this lodge.
Deanna, 1-night trip
