A Hidden Gem
A most peaceful stay with the Pacific Ocean in your front yard tucked away from the rest of the world. This place in the United States would go for at least three times more in cost One most uncomfortable obstacle- the road branching off from Rt. 62 is not designed for the typical car. Going faster than 3 miles an hour may result in major repairs. Motorcycles are recommended.

Wow just wow!! A little gem all around… came here for a quick winter escape and loved everything about this place. I got to say that everything was on point. Our room was clean and comfortable with an amazing view. The staff and the owners are super friendly and helpful. The food is great and the location is very quiet. I highly recommend this place if you are looking to stay in Popoyo beach.

We loved our stay here. Staff was very friendly, the beach is literally steps away and breathtaking views. Unfortunately, the road to the hotel can be rough so I would recommend a 4X4 vehicle. We will definitely be back!

Coming to Nicaragua we were hesitant to book a place so far from the city but we think it was the best decision we could have made. The staff were so kind and welcoming. We had a wonderful time at Costa Oeste! We were a family of four with two small children, and we were thrilled with our choice to stay at Costa Oeste. The layout of the property was perfect for entertaining kids all day and having plenty of space for everyone to enjoy the beach, the pool, our room, the bar, restaurant and games. The staff was incredibly friendly and we felt so well cared for the entire time. Definitely THE SPOT to stay in Popoyo!

Incredible stay, could not have asked for a better way to kick off our first time in Nicaragua. The owner acts on extremely respectable business practices and was accommodating and kind in every way. The staff were truly so nice and helpful as well. The food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner was incredible- we ate at the hotel for many meals and each one was delicious and priced very reasonably. The bar had great drinks and cheap beer that we would often take to the hammocks overlooking the ocean- truly a great three days. The surf breaks in front were exactly what we were looking for and the pool was clean and cool to relax in as well. We look forward to staying here again one day. Thank you guys!

Costa Oeste was great for a relaxing (quiet) getaway. The staff is wonderful. The food was delicious and the views are amazing! Some of the furniture could use an update but we were still comfortable. We highly recommend renting a 4WD vehicle as the roads leading to the property is completely unpaved and is in a very remote location. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend staying here.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious with a great view of the beach. The pool and beachside lounge area is nice with hammocks. However, we did not have hot water the first morning so showered and washed my hair with cold water. The restaurant was pretty empty and the tacos I ordered were pretty bad. Had to pay US$ 30 extra for a room with AC. Nice hotel with great potential, great staff but expect more for a hotel that charges US$150 per night.

Excellent experience across the board!
Our stay at Costa Oeste surpassed our expectations in every way. The room was impeccable...clean, comfortable, spacious an nicely designed. It was perfect for our family of four. With only six rooms in the whole place, it was also so peaceful and quiet which we really appreciated. The staff were great...helpful, very pleasant and they provided great service. The food at the restaurant was just superb (which I can't say about everywhere in Nicaragua). Portions were very ample and the quality (taste and presentation) was excellent. It's the first time in Nica that I had a juicy, tasty burger! The grounds were beautiful and the pool area as well. Everything was so well-maintained. Location: You can't get better than the Santana beach area. Not a surfer but it's the best surf in the country. As for swimming, the shoreline is rocky but you can definitely find pockets of sand and once inside, it's sandy and shallow. We had a blast in the ocean! We can't recommend Costa Oeste enough! Would love to come back!
