Fire Alarm causes some inconvenience.
Overall we all enjoyed our stay at the Imperial (we have stayed there a few times before). On the positive side the room we had was comfortable, clean and spacious. We had breakfast on both days and that was nice with a good selection to chose from. Suggest that a wee sign is put up to say that if you want poached eggs (rather than fried eggs) you just need to ask. Staff service was good and prompt.
The hotel is an old style hotel that in my view would benefit from some modern touch ups (i.e bedroom furniture and old style plastic shower curtains).
Our stay was interrupted by the fire alarm going off at first intermittently and then permanently on the morning we were checking, which necessitated getting up out of bed several times before finally going outside. Whilst this was annoying my complaint is that no-one from the hotel spoke to any of the guests standing outside (some in PJs) and advised them what was happening or where guests should gather, this was very very poorly managed my the hotel management.
Will we stay at the hotel again? Yes.
