Beautiful remodel with potential but disappointing
Great property that just opened. Front desk person said he would be with me in a minute while he ate his sandwich and was on his phone. OK so he needs a little polishing. What sent the rating down was breakfast. One person for the entire property. Breakfast roomat the otherend of this maze of corridors. No Coffee. Nothing hot except waffles. Someone called ddown and he came from the desk and said he would havecoffee in a couple of minutes. I asked about the resst of the breakfast and he said the first delivery was not yet made. Not my problem. I asked why they did not use petty cash and go to one of the 3 supermarkets within a 1/2 mile. He said they could not because they were under contract. I went to check out and there was a sign to call a 9 digit number for service. Left my card and went through the maze after trying the disgusting Folgers from the machine in hte lobby. Had to back track because i could not get out of the building at the exit by my car without a key card. Fire hazard. In back tracking I saw a large group of people all looking from the Indian Subcontinent enjoying a full breakfast in anotherroom. Table cloths and all. A lot of DND signs on the doors. I wonder if this is an immigrant hotel? The place has a lot of potential but training and adequate staffing and management are lacking. Full disclosure i worked for 6 years at Hampton Inns at the desk, night audit and assisted with breakfast.
