It started when they locked the doors, left a note saying call this number, then didn't answer when I did call. I was outside in the mall from over 10 minutes. Fortunately, another guest left so I could get in.
I booked a room that was 31m2, queen bed, high floor. They gave me a queen bed on a high floor but the room was, at best 20m2. It was the smallest room on the floor and was tiny. When I asked about this, I was told that since the room had a queen bed it was in the same 'category' as the room I had booked. This seems, at best, dishonest.
Finally, housekeeping didn't clean the room. Normally I would not sweat this, but since it was the 3rd time in the weekend they had treated me poorly, I complained.
I don't want to be fussed over, but at the same time I want the room I booked, I want to be able to check in. I don't think either is too much to ask.
I thought I had found the hotel in Brisbane I would be staying at for the next decade, but I will not be going back.
