A estadia neste hotel foi frustrante do início ao fim. Reservamos um quarto com vista para o Obelisco e ar-condicionado, confirmado na reserva, mas ao chegar fomos informados de que não havia essa opção disponível, evidenciando total desorganização. Como alternativa, nos colocaram no pior quarto e na pior categoria, muito inferior ao contratado. Só após diversas reclamações conseguimos a troca. Durante a estadia, ficamos presos no elevador por cerca de 10 minutos devido a uma pane, situação grave e estressante, sem suporte adequado ou pedido de desculpas compatível com o ocorrido. O hotel tem péssima acessibilidade, especialmente para malas grandes. O café da manhã é de baixíssima qualidade, com pouca variedade e alimentos com aparência de velhos. Os quartos apresentam cheiro forte de mofo, limpeza precária e ar-condicionado aparentemente sem manutenção, liberando odor desagradável. O atendimento é frio, pouco receptivo e ineficiente, e a estrutura do hotel é claramente mal conservada. A experiência ficou muito abaixo do mínimo aceitável. Não recomendo e não voltaria a me hospedar.

Hotel Colon is by far my worst hotel experience. Despite being marketed as a 4-star establishment, the reality was far from it. The filthy conditions immediately affected our health, causing constant sneezing and coughing. The hotel rooms were in a deplorable state—ceiling paint peeling, stained headboards, and an overall level of grime that is utterly unacceptable. Worsening the situation, the rooms facing the street had no air conditioning, forcing a switch to another room that was no improvement. The bathroom in this second room was covered in mold and rust, and shockingly, the shower had an exposed hole in the wall leading to what appeared to be a crawl space. After just one night, the poor conditions were making me more ill, forcing an early departure. Adding insult to injury, after leaving for health reasons, both the hotel and Expedia refused to refund the unused portion of my stay. This refusal, paired with the false advertising of the rooms online, made the ordeal even more frustrating. Avoid Hotel Colon at all costs and be very weary of Expedia when booking if you value your health, comfort, and money. Pictures below speak for themselves.

The pictures on the internet do not represent the current condition of the hotel or its rooms. It is run-down and in disrepair. The elevators barely function. Our "suite" (Room 1202, presumably the nicest room at the hotel) was dirty, its furniture was broken, the shower was dangerous, no ice, no room service, no telephone, etc.

O Hotel é antigo e em área central. A área me pareceu perigosa após 20hs. Muitos desabrigados na calçada do hotel. O café da manhã não tem variedades, nem opção de pães. Me asignaron la habitación 609 y desde el inicio el estado era deficiente: paredes con humedad y polvo blanco, techo del baño con filtraciones, tina y bidet descascarados, escritorio dañado, espejos opacos y sin agua caliente. La segunda noche, estando sentada en el baño, comenzó a caerme agua del techo directamente en el cuerpo y el cabello. Bajé a recepción a la 1:30 am le mostré el vídeo de la filtración y el recepcionista intentó minimizarlo, diciendo que era “agua de tubería”, pero que podía cambiarme de habitación. Primero me ofreció la 807 (dos pisos para subir mis cosas, le dije que como), luego la 606. Terminé moviendo mis cosas a las 2 am. En la nueva habitación, las condiciones eran casi iguales: tina y bidet descascarados de pintura, espejos gastados (tostados por los lados), puerta del clóset dañada. Al dejar el hotel, el recepcionista de la mañana me preguntó cómo estuvo la estadía. Le comenzé a contar lo ocurrido y cortó mi relato sin dejarme finalizar diciendo ah, ya, ok, ok, y, en lugar de disculparse, me interrumpió diciendo que “eso pasa, esa habitación está mala, pero no eran meados, era agua nada más”. Nunca recibí una disculpa formal, compensación ni solución real. En conclusión, pésima experiencia: instalaciones deterioradas, filtraciones graves y personal que resta importancia a situaciones inaceptables. No recomiendo este hotel.
