When entering the address into Google Maps, it directs guests to the East 5th Street entrance. This should be updated to route visitors to the Vine Street entrance, as that is where the parking garage entrance is located.
Once inside the building, there is no signage directing guests to proceed to the second floor for check-in. The first floor—particularly the lobby—had a noticeable presence of homeless individuals. While there were no negative interactions, it does impact the overall perception of safety and cleanliness.
After check-in, the key card system was somewhat confusing to operate; several other guests mentioned experiencing the same issue. The elevators require a key card and only allow access to the assigned floor, which appears to be a security measure to prevent unauthorized access to guest areas.
Upon entering the room, it was clean, though it was evident that the room is dated. There was a previously patched hole in the wall that was poorly repaired, and the caulking around the sink was cracking and no longer providing a proper water seal. At checkout, my wife pulled back the sheets to assist housekeeping and noticed a large red stain—possibly wine—on the mattress.
Overall, I would stay here again. However, there are several areas that could use improvement, including adding security personnel, installing clear signage to welcome guests and direct them to the front desk, and beginning a phased renovation plan, such as remodeling one floor per year.
