Location is definitely 5 out of 5. Can't be faulted.
Cleanliness is 4 out of 5. Very clean overall. Bath mat could certainly do with a clean / replacement.
Photos on the website, another 5 out of 5. Obviously taken by a pro. After seeing the photos, we didn't bother looking at the reviews (rookie error). The living area is quite small but looks bigger in the photos as furniture is moved around for each photo (clever but misleading). By looking at the photos, and paying $420 per night, one is expecting a very well appointed property....unfortunately not.
The property lacks any of the niceties one would expect when paying at the upper end for a 2 bedroom house.
Make sure you bring your own tea coffee and milk. There is some cheap plunger coffee, 4 English breakfast tea bags (of a brand I've never seen before) for 4 people for 2 nights. The rest of the tea bags were those cheap ones that have no string attached. BYO milk as there is none.
There is a not so subtle expectation that guests do a fair amount of cleaning before leaving. e.g. rather than stacking and turning on the dishwasher before leaving, cutlery and crockery needs to be washed, and put away before a 10-00am checkout.
We later discovered through the property manager that the property has a $40 per night loading if booked through expedia and is $380 (still overpriced) if booked directly through the property website. We contacted Expedia and they were very good and provided us with a coupon to use for future
