My husband and I showed up at the hotel to check-in to find out the hotel was no longer open. We had to trek through the snow up the unplowed driveway to find that no one was there, no sign on the door, no prior notification of closing. Our trip was pre-booked 6 months beforehand. Luckily we were able to get our payment refunded through Hotels.com and find a nearby hotel.
