Hotel muy bonito. Desayuno excelente, personal muy amable. Como parte negativa la ducha resbalaba y el colchón para nuestro gusto era muy blando y la habitación sin balcón y pequeña.

Antigua casa renovada con todo lujo de detalles de decoración. Recomiendo por su ubicación, cercanía al transporte (ferry a 3 mn y bus a 2 mn andando) y personal (presente únicamente por la mañana). Pancakes recién hechos cada mañana y un trato inmejorable en general. Cada petición nuestra fue atendida y solventada.

The room was clean, although it was a bit on the small side. We were staying for 2 nights before going on a cruise, and with 2 large suitcases, space was very limited. The staff were amazing. Extremely helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Plenty of choice. Shout out for Maureen. My partner left a jacket in the room when we left. Maureen contacted me while on the cruise, and he was able to pick up the jacket on our return. Thank you

Beautiful small hotel in an ancient building with beautiful furnishings. Our room (Sliema) was large and well furnished and equipped with excellent drinks making facilities. The bathroom was large and had plentiful hot water but was down a couple of steep steps from the bedroom. At the top of the hotel is a lovely roof terrace with fabulous views and a small pool. The breakfast was decent, especially the freshly cooked eggs. The hotel is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues as it is up a few steps up from the road and has more steps inside. There is a lift but it did not work throughout our stay. The staff at the hotel are delightful. The location in Cospicua is excellent, close to the Valetta ferry and with many restaurants, cafes and bars in walking distance but feeling like a real Maltese town.

Fantastiskt trevlig personal på ett trevligt hotell! Ett gammalt maltesiskt hus med många trappor som var väldigt fint inrett! Kallt vatten att fylla sina flaskor med i trapphusen. Liten pool på taket och en solterass med några solsängar och loungemöbler en trappa ner. God frukost med möjlighet att beställa omelett mm av den trevliga personalen.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is very conveniently located close to the harbour, the ferry point and numerous shops, bars and cafes. The hotel is clean and beautiful, small but with everything needed for a pleasant stay, including a water cooler on every floor. The room was great and the AC worked flawlessly in the 40 degree heat. The staff are helpful and very friendly. The breakfast is wonderful and the pool at the top offers amazing view of the neighbourhood. The steps and the narrow street add charmingly to the character of the place. It’s a real gem at the heart of Cospicua. We would definitely choose it again if we are to visit Malta in thr future.

We absolutely loved the property! It was a quick ride on the ferry to Valetta or even a bus ride. Maureen runs a tight ship and now that we are home we miss our darling Breakfast man! He makes a mean omelet! Be aware there are lots of stairs but it is worth every step!

Had a lovely few days at Casa Birmula, it was ideally situated for exploring the three cities and Valletta. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were fab. The room was lovely and traditionally Maltese. Would definitely come back to this hotel. A special thankyou to Maureen for all help and to the lovely young man that cooked our breakfasts.

Fabulous stay at the charming and charismatic Casa Birmula which is so full of period character. The room and bathroom were clean with good amenities overlooking the alley - lovely to sit on the balcony and listen to the bells or the birds. The location is great too explore the quaint streets of Birgu or close to the Valletta Ferry to wander the bustling streets of Valletta. Maureen and Arz are very welcoming and there is lots of choice at breakfast, please try the omelette. We loved our stay and hope to return again soon - Ron and Sally

Really liked the location. The cruise ship types can have Valletta, the 20 something’s can have Sliema. For those who want something more interesting the Bormla/Cospicua neighborhood has a real ‚you are there vibe‘. It is also a short water taxi ride to Valletta and is on the bus lines if you want to explore other parts of the island. The staff are wonderful, very helpful and can get you a shuttle ride to the airport at 5am if necessary. Breakfast is really good to get rolling. Very attentive and unassuming even when you’re a bit spaced out :-) The rooftop is not to be missed. A great place to relax with a great view of the neighborhood and harbor.

Arrived at the hotel after hours but that was no problem. We had been sent the key code to enter & our key was left in an envelope with all the room details inside. Very efficient. Room was larger than expected & spotlessly clean. Only complaint was the shower didn't maintain hot water for all of the time. Lovely, secluded location near all the restaurants & the ferry landing to Valletta. Buffet breakfast was exceptional & the 2 staff we met were super friendly & helpful. We could leave our cases in reception til check-out time & there were shower facilities before leaving. Excellent all round!

This is a really good, cosy, hotel situated very conveniently for a quick hop across to Valletta by ferry or small craft (3Euros each way/10 mins). There are a number of restaurants along the waterfront, but check- out the side roads behind, just up the hill. (Also French Restaurant the ither side of the canal). There is slso a bus stoo within 50m of the hotel, with regular buses into Valletta. The staff at the hotel are welcoming and attentive. The architecture inside and the quality of the rooms, is great. Totally recommended.
