Located 12 km north of Da Nang, it’s also a natural reserve that’s home to the rare red-shanked doucs. When you’re here, make sure to visit Linh Ung Pagoda. Located on Son Tra (Monkey) Mountain, the stunning pagoda is known for its 67-metre-tall white statue of the Goddess of Mercy. Son Tra Peninsula also has a lookout point called Ban Co Peak. Do watch out for the bronze statue of Confucius, one of China’s most prominent philosophers.

Part of Tien Sa Beach is owned by a hotel of the same name, so if you’re not a guest, there's a small entrance fee. After a day at the beach, make sure to visit Linh Ung Pagoda and Ban Co Peak before heading back to Da Nang City.

Waters are calm and clear enough for snorkelling and spotting marine life. If you’re a surfer, weather conditions are ideal between November and February. You can also find local restaurants serving mostly seafood dishes – we highly recommend goi ca, which is cured herring wrapped in rice paper, served with dipping sauce, fresh herbs and vegetables.
