Shopping in Phi Phi is often centred around basic holiday necessities, such as beachwear, souvenirs and food items. It's no surprise to see a hotch-potch of items in a single store – boutiques often double as impromptu minimarts, while minimarts sell clothes. At the same time, bookstores masquerade as cafes, while cafes transition into late-night bars in the evenings.
