New Kuta Golf is good for players of different levels, although beginners may struggle with some of the most challenging coastal holes – it’s doable, but just make sure you have a few spare balls. You can choose from 5 sets of tees that allow you differing shooting distances. Varied terrain adds to the challenge, as does the extreme 191-yard 6th hole with its island-like green ringed by a bunker.

New Kuta Golf is about as eco-friendly as golf courses can get. The grass was imported from Thailand, a unique and special strain that's watered with a combination of seawater and rainwater, ensuring minimum impact on the environment.

The world-class services at the clubhouse include reception rooms, dining areas, lockers, and a conference room with a grand reception for championship events it has hosted in the past. Also onsite is a pro shop, The Links Restaurant serving Indonesian cuisine, as well as international dishes, and even a spa offering Balinese massages and treatments.

The best time to tee-off at New Kuta Golf is in the afternoon so you reach the signature cape hole for a totally different Bali sunset moment. Some consider this part of the challenge when playing here – you’ll find yourself losing focus while admiring the views too often. No gear? You can come as you are as the clubhouse also provides rentals… but certainly, bring along your camera.
