"Nishimuraya Honkan was one of the most incredible hotels I've stayed at, a real highlight in our trip to Japan. The room was fantastic as were the hotel facilities (which include a great onsen) and the team too. The kaiseki dinners in the room were utterly incredible and the Japanese breakfast each day was a delight. We loved it."

"Really great hotel outside of the of the hubbub. Spa is basic but wonderful not crowded. The surrounding area is full of nature and boats. It’s quiet and it’s peaceful. Our room was a traditional room with the tatami mats. It had a kettle and little sweet treats. Overall it was great. Would stay there again even though it’s on the other side of the river. We came by bike and we could park our bikes no problem. "

"This was genuinely the best stay I have ever had. The room and facilities were great, the food was utterly amazing, and the staff were so welcoming and caring. I spent four nights here and I wish I could stay for longer. While it’s a bit expensive, it is worth every yen. The staff was so helpful and made sure every second I spent there was incredible. "A reasonably priced ryokan in Kinosaki Onsen, which is tattoo tolerant. Very good breakfasts and dinner in traditional ryokan style. Very accommodating staff. Nice additions to their onsen area are sauna and outdoor cold plunge, not often found in Onsen. A bit of a hike from town but convenient free shuttle service. "

"The room was large and the interior was very cozy and modern. It comes with an outdoor shower with a hot tub. This is a small inn/ ryokan but the owners are very pleasant and hospitable. They even drove me back to the train station because of my big luggage. The location is excellent, next to the canal and very convenient to the onsens. I plan to come back. "
